The Satterfield Cottage is located on the Chalfonte Hotel property. Cottage renters have access to Chalfonte Hotel amenities including the Magnolia Room restaurant, King Edward Bar, Lobby and Writing Room. Housekeeping services are available upon request for an additional fee.

The Satterfield Family

In 2011, Franklin Street Cottage was dedicated as The Satterfield Cottage as a tribute to The Satterfield Family of Richmond, Virginia on the 100th Anniversary of their purchase of the hotel in 1911. The Satterfield's owned and operated The Chalfonte for more than 60 years, infusing the Chalfonte with the strong traditions of warm Southern hospitality and the home-style fare which has made The Chalfonte's Magnolia Room restaurant a featured aspect of the hotel.
